EC and HRC: Day 2: Even More Fun!

Judging by the delegates', Chairs' and Staff impressions, this BELAMUN was a great fun! Day 2, EC and HRC

Environmental Commission: day 2.

Eco-friendly Commission, or Peace & love, guys!

Famous for its peaceful atmosphere, the commission didn’t ruin this stereotype. Supportive and generous Japan which gave the African countries new technologies for free, wise Morocco and Belgium, resourceful Norway and China, inventive Cuba and Pakistan, considerate Saudi Arabia and Russian Federation – all of them acted like a big caring family.
Among the issues under discussion one could hear such like a vital issue of water shortage, “best farmer” nomination and the proposal to plant twice more trees than it was cut down. You see, the cooperation was indeed peacefully settled.

Vocalization
The 2nd day of debates presented us with possibility to hear long-expected voices of the representatives of Guatemala and India, usually silent but smiling. At last! :)

Mysterious voting procedure
Yet the voting procedure yielded the floor back to the Chairs some unexpected results like puzzling situations when the number of those abstaining, voting for and against was different from the total number of the delegates (recalling "Dead Souls" by N. Gogol).

“Please, raise your placards hard!”
Some funny mispronunciations and slips could also be heard in the house, such as: “I yield the floor back to the house!” or “No way” instead of “Norway”. Anyhow, understanding was reached.

Human Rights Council:
Discovering talents
Thanks to coming late admin staff of HRC provided us with a brilliant professional dance show (at the photo above). By the way, the house also turned out to be rich in talents, like dancing Russia and singing Norway. Thank you, BELAMUN for new wonders and discoveries!
