HRC: THE 2nd DAY

Journalists all over the world can sleep the sleep of the just, as honorable delegates of Human Rights Council have led themselves to exhaustion to find the means of protection for the sharks of the pen. Two days of hard work, 12 hours of discussion – and finally the resolution was adopted.

Knowing that time is money (any committee is always looking for it), the participants immediately got down to work. Although during the previous day the delegates had done a lot, there were many urgent issues on the agenda. The top question of the first two hours was to decide whether to support journalists psychologically before, after or during the armed conflict) After numerous of amendments to amendments (and what’s more amendments to amendments to amendments), endless points of information and motions the young diplomats have finally come to an ultimate decision.

The process of discussion has shown that delegates have excellent knowledge of the English language rules. Their favorite topic is pronouns, especially the personal one “I”) In spite of the placard saying “I” is out of order” the participants used the forbidden word in almost every sentence. Is it a lack of experience? No. They simply have their own opinion about everything. Their tongues are glib.

The yourth of 2011 maintains BELAMUN reputation. The only rule is not to stop halfway, because our life is full of things to do, places to see and people to help. TAKE ACTIONS!
