BELAMUN's History: How It All Began

Looking forward to BELAMUN Conference?  You are not alone, we can`t but wait as well! Still there are few days separating us from the most expected student event of 2012! Now you may find yourselves under stress researching and writing your draft resolutions. It is not a piece of cake to do, so we decided to entertain you a little bit by telling you about the history of BELAMUN. How it all began?

BELAMUN Conferences began in 2002. During  10 years foreign guests from Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Sri Lanka, Turkey and other countries came to Minsk to take part in the conference as delegates.

December 2002	1st MUN Organized under the aegis of Belarusian Association of UNESCO Clubs. Official language was Russian.
March 2006	2nd MUN organized under the aegis of Belarusian Association of UNESCO Clubs. Official language was Russian.
February 2007	BELAMUN for University Students and High School Students, 180 participants. Official languages were Russian and English.
February 2008	BELAMUN for University Students and High School Students, 320 participants. Official language was English.
April 2009	BELAMUN for University Students and High School Students, 250 participants. Official language was English.
November 2009	BELAMUN Regional held in Hrodna. 90 participants. Official language was Russian.
April 2010	BELAMUN for University Students and High School Students, 220 participants. Official language was English.
February 2011	BELAMUN for University Students, 120 participants. Official language was English.
April 2011	BELAMUN for High School Students, 130 participants. Official language was English.
December 2011	BELAMUN for High School Students, 150 participants. Official language was English.
March 11-14, 2012	BELAMUN for University Students, 163 participants. Official language is English.

 

According to all weather forecasts, scientific researches and Mayan predictions, 2012 BELAMUN Conference promises to be the most sensational, challenging and splendid one in the history!
